Ten concerned San Franciscans - including clergy, elected officials, and young people - first met with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office on Wednesday, November 4. We're asking Speaker Pelosi to show real leadership for LGBT civil rights, and we need support from all across the country. We'll post updates to this website as the campaign develops.

We need your input!
Join us in calling on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to make a
real commitment to LGBT civil rights. Full text of petition is below.
Speaker Pelosi:
You have not prioritized the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in Congress. Hate Crimes was the only bill to pass this year, and 2009 ends with more delays and excuses. The Employment Non-Discrimination Act is stuck in committee, and we have no timeline for the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell or the Defense of Marriage Act.
We want to know what you will do to represent your constituents and to ensure that LGBT people are equal under the law. We expect real leadership from you: that means commitments, benchmarks, and accountability.
